Corona was designed by Poul M. Volther and received a lot of acclaim when it was first launched in 1964. Since its making the chair has been shown in a wide variety of fashion features, film and music videos. 

Corona was the chair used by the chiefs of state in Europe during the EU summit in Copenhagen in December 2002. A rare combination of organic expression and technical streamlining. The four upholstered shells give maximum support of the body with overt associations to both spinal column and ribs of the human anatomy. Due to its floating constellation Corona seems to be almost trans-parent and effortlessly blends in with the room. Our Corona chair comes complete with the ottoman. The chair can be purchased separately also. 

Materials & Features
The Corona chair and ottoman features a high grade solid core stainless steel frame. Each individual panel of the chair is constructed using moulded plywood and is lined with polyurethane foam and upholstered in genuine Italian top grain leather.

Mr. Poul Volther (1923-2001) belonged to a generation of architects with strong roots in the sector. As an exhibitor at functionalism, it was against fads for the elegance and aesthetic he strives to manufacture simple with fine materials. Mr. Poul Volther has trained as a cabinetmaker; he graduated from the School of Arts and Crafts.

As a professor at the Danish School of Art and Design, he has influenced hundreds of young designers on the meaning of quality crafts.
Mr. Poul Volther was prolific and interesting, insightful designer who saw the potential of many things that others do not. He was part of the modernist generation, with other famous designers like Le Corbusier, Arne Jacobsen, Hans J. Wegner, the Eames and Alberto Lievore to name a few

If, when your furniture arrives, and for whatever reason it is not what you expected, we will remove it and refund your money. Alternatively you can exchange to a different model, colour or size.

Please inform us by email or phone of your decision to return or exchange your furniture within 14 days and we will organise a collection date. A collection charge of £25 will be applied.

2.     Two year guarantee.
Our guarantee covers any defect in manufacture and materials, allowing for fair wear and tear. In the unlikely event of a claim, we will repair or replace your furniture entirely free of charge.
